Since its establishment on December 15, 1981,
Khandra College, a co-educational institution affiliated to the University of
Burdwan (now under the affiliation ofKaziNazrul University, Asansol) has been
catering to the ever-growing needs of the first generation learners and
students of the rural area falling over a large part of the District of Burdwan
and other adjoining districts of West Bengal. In the context of the present
global scenario, the acute competition and diversification, the College has set
up different faculties (both Honours& General Programmes) and is trying to
provide all round infrastructural facilities.Now,Khandra College is a centre
for empowerment of the local youth and is committed to cultivate and promote
thoughtful minds.
The College is recognized by the University Grants
Commission (UGC), and it received its Accreditation for the First Cycle by the
National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in the year 2007.
As Principal, I do expect
holistic support and cooperation from the students, teachers, staff and
the local people to make Khandra College an Institution par excellence, bringing
academics and ethics together into vibrant harmony.
